Stage Pokémon - Pokémon Stadium 2 (Wii U)

-BRAWL STAGE-

Before the 3DS Pokémon games, when Pokémon battles were reduced to sprites on the handheld Game Boy system, the Pokémon Stadium games allowed players to watch their Pokémon fight in the three dimensions! Yes, even up to Pokémon Battle Revolution on the Wii, people would pay just to bring their Pokémon from the small screen to the big screen. While it offered little content aside from that aside from occasional minigames, they were beloved entries in the series.

Pokémon Stadium 2 is the successor to Super Smash Bros. Melee's Pokémon Stadium. It switches between four forms, which are based on various Pokémon types. Dish out dirt on the Ground form, where mountains of earth block you and your opponent's attacks. Thing get shocking in Electric mode, where you'll have to put in more effort in going where you want to go, thanks to the conveyor belts. Cool down on the Ice stage, where a thick level of frost on the floor causes players to slip and fall. Finally, the fans on the Flying field fling fighters far up, where you can battle in the air until you're "soar."

Also, on the Ice stage, check out the cat poster inside the house. No, it is not Sakurai's cat, but a product of the Brawl staff's shenanigans.
